Root Canal Therapy

At Everbright Dental, we understand that some people may be nervous about root canal treatment. However, our dentists, Dr. Kenneth Kim, and Dr. Sojin Kim are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality of care and comfort during your visit.

The purpose of root canal therapy is to treat the pulp of a tooth that has become inflamed or infected. It is common for patients to experience visible swelling, sensitivity to temperature, or pain in their teeth and gums as a result of an infection. If you experience any of these symptoms, please contact our practice for a consultation.

The first step in root canal therapy is to remove the pulp from the tooth chamber and canals. To ensure that all bacteria and infections are eliminated, we will disinfect the canals with a disinfecting solution. To ensure your complete comfort, we may provide local anesthesia or sedation.

In order to protect your tooth until your restoration is complete, a temporary filling may be placed following the treatment. Initially, you may experience some sensitivity in the treated tooth, but this can be relieved with over-the-counter or prescribed pain medications. It is important not to chew on the treated tooth until the full restoration is complete. Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you experience any problems.

Our goal at Everbright Dental is to help you preserve your natural teeth for as long as possible. We strive to provide you with the highest quality care in a friendly and comfortable environment. To schedule a consultation with Dr. Kenneth Kim or Dr. Sojin Kim, please contact our office today.
