Root Canal Retreatment

Root canal treatment involves removing the infected or damaged pulp tissue from the tooth and sealing the roots to prevent further infection. Our experienced team at Everbright Dental will carefully evaluate your tooth and determine whether root canal treatment is the best option for you.

One of the main benefits of root canal treatment is that it can save a tooth that would otherwise need to be extracted. When a tooth is infected or damaged, it can cause severe pain, swelling, and even lead to abscesses or tooth loss. Root canal treatment can help preserve the natural tooth structure and prevent further damage to surrounding teeth and tissues.

A root canal begins with the removal of pulp from the tooth chamber and canals. In order to ensure that all bacteria and infections are eliminated, we will disinfect the canals with a disinfecting solution. To ensure your complete comfort, we may provide local anesthesia or sedation.

In order to protect your tooth until your restoration is complete, a temporary filling may be placed following the treatment. Initially, you may experience some sensitivity in the treated tooth, but this can be relieved with over-the-counter or prescribed pain medications. It is important not to chew on the treated tooth until the full restoration is complete. Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you experience any problems.

Our goal at Everbright Dental is to help you preserve your natural teeth for as long as possible. If you have been experiencing tooth pain or sensitivity, contact our office to schedule a consultation with Dr. Kenneth Kim or Dr. Sojin Kim.
